The Bake Shop
The Bake Shop at Alyeska Resort is a MUST stop for food and flower lovers alike.
Outside you will find the annual display of summer flowers. Stop by to see dazzling begonias, giant ferns and dahlias, as well as many all-time favorites. Bring your breakfast or lunch outside for a garden picnic, and enjoy the beauty of the flowers and the valley.
Step inside The Bake Shop to enjoy the heartwarming aroma of freshly baked breads and buns. We create these with the original sourdough starter, which was once the “prized” possession of a fortune-seeking gold miner in this valley over 80 years ago. Now look at the large menu board and you will find a variety of breakfast temptations, such as egg dishes and sourdough pancakes.
For lunch choose from a great selection of sandwiches, made to order with sourdough bread, pizzas, salads, and homemade soups. Don’t forget to leave room for our “famous” sweet rolls or cinnamon rolls, believe me, you will want one when you see them!
In winter, a visit to the Bake Shop is the perfect start to a fun filled day of skiing at Alyeska Resort. The Bake Shop is conveniently located at the bottom of Chair 3. You can hit the slopes in no time, right after you enjoy your delicious breakfast or lunch and a visit with locals and visitors.
Remember to take some of our bread, cookies and brownies for the road. They make great gifts too!
The Bake Shop is proud to display fine art work by two local artists: Jules Wolfe, multi-talented in many different media, as well as Bridget Brunner who creates stained glass objects. Their one-of-a-kind creations are not just for decoration – you may purchase them right here, at The Bake Shop!
The Bake Shop has been open daily, year-round for over 40 years, and we are looking forward to your visit.
