One of the newest additions to Girdwood nightly rentals, Sunnyside Chalet is a charming house in the sunniest part of town, with southern exposure, lots of windows and views all around.
We are located on scenic Turnagain Arm at the corner of the Seward and Alyeska highways, just off the bike path, near the train depot and shuttle bus stop. It's a 20-minute drive to Portage Glacier, eight minutes to the Alyeska Ski Resort, and 45 minutes to the bright lights of the city. This is a great location for bicyclists and motorcyclists. The round-trip bicycle ride to Bird Point is 12 miles of scenic paved path. This same bike path will take you up valley through the town, about four miles in all. There is even a bicycle shed to get your wheels out of the weather. Girdwood has fishing, spectacular hiking and cross-country skiing venues, windsurfing and kiteboarding in Turnagain Arm, all close by.
We have two bedrooms with queen size beds and a loft with a fold-out sofa. Two baths, a well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable leather furniture make this an ideal place for up to six people. The den is separate from the kitchen and living area, offering another space for television and movie viewing, reading and relaxing. We offer satellite television, DVD players and wireless internet access.
