Girdwood Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team

Recently the GFD responded to a 911 call to the Winner Creek Hand Tram where two stranded tourists were brought safely to the side of the gorge.  One day later the GFD assisted the Alyeska Ski Patrol and Lift Maintenance crew with a modified chairlift evacuation to rescue the tandem paragliders who had beome entangled on Chair 4 on Alyeska Mountain.
