Girdwood Center for Visual Arts

Our nonprofit co-op gallery hosts more than 40 Alaska artists who work in a wide variety of media.  Any purchase you make with us supports the continuation of arts in the Last Frontier.  Our gallery has a little something for everyone!

Creativity was the goal in 1982 when a local group set out to provide artistic opportunities in the community of Girdwood.  That passion for creativity helped fuel the formation of the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts.  For almost 30 years, volunteers have selflessly dedicated their time and energy to provide a local venue for artists, encouraging a desire to share and explore art.  Workshops, as well as hosting solo and group shows, continue to inspire artists and add talent to our organization.  The GCVA provides a variety of community events to keep art alive in Alaska.

Pottery, fabric, oil painting, watercolors, silk painting, woodworking, jewelry, glass and more are available at our enchanting gallery.  Visit us and take home a unique interpretation of Alaska from the Girdwood Center for Visual Arts.
